BEFORE DISCARDING YOUR OLD REFRIGERATOR
Your old refrigerator may have a cooling system that used CFCs (chlorofluorocarbons) or HCFCs (hydro-
chlorofluorocarbons). CFCs and HCFCs are believed to harm stratospheric ozone if released into the
atmosphere. If you are going to throw away your old refrigerator, make sure the refrigerant is removed
for proper disposal by a qualified technician. Check with your retailer to find out if they'll take away and
responsibly dispose of or recycle your old refrigerator.
