6. Initial Operation
Check for damage prior to commissioning. A
damaged tool may not be put into operation.
6.1
Setting up
- Set up on a firm, horizontal and level surface.
- The operating elements have to be easily
accessible at any time.
- Position in a dry area protected from frost.
6.2
Power supply with battery pack
Charge the battery pack (23) before use.
Recharge the battery pack if performance
diminishes.
Instructions on charging the battery pack can be
found in the operating instructions of the Metabo
charger.
Battery packs have a capacity and signal indicator
(25) (depends on design variant):
- Press the button (24), the LEDs indicate the
charge level.
- The battery pack is almost empty and must be
recharged if one LED is flashing.

Removing and inserting the battery pack
Removal:
Press the battery pack release (22) button and
remove the battery pack.
Inserting:
Slide in the battery pack (23) until it engages.
6.3
Power supply with 12 V cigarette lighter
connection cable
Do not use this product with power supply from
a 12V cigarette lighter while the vehicle is
driving.
Before commissioning, check that the rated
mains voltage, as stated on the type plate
match your power supply.
Ensure that the 12V cigarette lighter
connection cable is not pinched or damaged.
1. Open the cable storage (19) and plug the 12V
cigarette lighter connection cable (21) into the
socket (20).
2. Completely unwind the 12V cigarette lighter
connection cable (21) and plug it into a suitable
12 Volt cigarette lighter socket in your vehicle.
Note: Some cigarette lighter sockets only supply
power when the ignition is switched on or the
vehicle engine is switched on.
7. Use
Operate the tool only under supervision.
Excessive pressure can burst the object being
inflated and cause injury and property damage.
7.1
Inflate using the compressed air hose (5)
1. Unwind the compressed air hose (5).
2. Screw the compressed air hose onto the valve of
the object to be inflated. Screw one of the
adapters (1), (3), (2) onto the compressed air
hose and then attach it to the valve of the object
to be inflated.
Ensure that the attached adapter is screwed in
firmly before starting the compressor.
3. Switching on the tool: Press on/off button (9).
The display is on.
4. Switch between compressed air and blower by
pressing the operating mode button (10) (P/V):

5. Select the required tool of pressure (BAR / PSI /
kPa) by pressing the button (12).
6. Set the required pressure in the display by
pressing the +/- (11).
The set pressure must not be higher than the
maximum permissible pressure of the object
to be inflated. It may otherwise burst and cause
injuries and property damage.
7. Starting the inflation process: Press the start/
stop button (13). The pressure reaches is shown
on the display. The inflation process stops
automatically when the set pressure is reached.
