Performing a Control Solution Test
You will need:
Embrace TALK Control Solution
(Low-L1 or High-L2)
Your Embrace TALK Monitor
The Bottle of Embrace TALK Glucose Test Strips
A small clean plate (glass or plastic) or hard surface.
Step 1:
Take out the bottle of control solution. Check the expiration date. Do
not use the control solution if EXPIRED. Check the bottle of control
solution for LOW or HIGH to determine which level the monitor will
need to be tested on.
(LOW) Monitor should be set to L1.
(HIGH) Monitor should be set to L2.
Gently mix the solution by rolling the bottle back and forth between
your hands.
Place 2 drops of control solution on the clean glass/plastic plate.
Replace the cap on the control solution bottle IMMEDIATELY.
Step 2:
Take out an Embrace TALK Test Strip and close the lid IMMEDIATELY.
IMPORTANT:
• Check the expiration date printed on the test strip bottle and its
package. Do not use expired test strips.
• Use each test strip immediately after removing it from the bottle.
• Do not use wet or damaged test strips.
