Blood glucose value will vary depending on food intake, medication,
health, stress, and exercise. The American Diabetes Association
suggests the following targets for most non-pregnant adults with

:
• Between 70–130 mg/dL before meals
• Less than 180 mg/dL two hours after starting a meal
