Electrical connection
In order to make the electrical connection
a Home Office socket is required. If the
machine is to be connected permanently,
a mains switch with a minimum contact
clearance of 3 mm is required. The electri-
ance with the national regulations and
any additional regulations set by the
energy supplying company. The fuse pro-
tection and the type of machine are
stated on the wasching machine plate on
the rear of the washing machine ®.The
washing machine must not be switched
on before the electrical connection has
been made.
Warning!! The power supply cord must
only be replaced by an authorised
specialist or a qualified person.
Initial operation
It is advisable to run the first washing
cycle without any laundry in the machine
in order to rinse out any remaining test
water. For this purpose select the
coloured cottons 60° short programme
(see programme table) and put a little
washing detergent in compartment 11
(centre) of the detergent dispensing
drawer.
Preparing to wash
Try where possible to wash garments of
the same type in one wash.
Sort the laundry according to care sym-
bols (see table), degree of soiling and
weight.
Remove all objects from folds or pockets
in garments and close zip fasteners. Gar-
ments which contain wire (ladies under-
wear, for example) should be tied in a
material bag in order to ensure that the

Heavily soiled areas and stains which are
water soluble should be treated appropri-
ately before washing. In problem cases
advice should be sought from a specialist
(chemist, dry cleaner).
