BEFORE STARTING THE ENGINE
Fill the fuel tank as instructed in the BEFORE OPERATION section of this manual.
Rest the Hedge Trimmer on the ground. Make sure that the cutting blades are clear of
branches, shrubs, debris, etc. Keep all bystanders, children and animals away from
the working area.
STARTING THE ENGINE
(for the carburetor with primer bulb)
The carburetors on MARUYAMA engines contain a choke system and are designed to
start at IDLE speed.
1. Push and release the fuel primer bulb located on the bottom of the carburetor until
air bubble free fuel is seen flowing through the clear fuel return hose back to the
fuel tank.
2. Move the choke lever to the closed position "
the choke lever to the open position "
3. Set the engine stop switch to the "ON ( | )" position. The throttle trigger positioned
at IDLE.
4. Grasp the starter grip and slowly pull the starter cord out until you feel some
resistance, then pull the cord quickly and powerfully. Pull the starter grip until the
engine starts. After the engine is started, move the choke lever to the open
position.
5. After starting, allow the engine to run a few minutes to warm it up before using.
ANTES DE ARRANCAR EL MOTOR
Llene el depósito de combustible tal y cómo se indica en el apartado ANTES DE
EMPEZAR de este manual. Deposite el cortasetos en el suelo. Asegúrese de que las
cuchillas estén libres de ramas, arbustos, detritus, etc. Mantenga a todos los
transeúntes, niños y animales alejados de la zona de trabajo.
CÓMO ARRANCAR EL MOTOR
Los carburadores de los motores MARUYAMA contienen un sistema estrangulador y
están diseñados para arrancar en RALENTÍ.
1. Accione la bomba de cebado de carburante ubicada en la parte inferior del
carburador hasta ver fluir el combustible sin burbujas de aire a través del conducto
de retorno hasta el depósito de combustible.
2. Coloque la palanca del estrangulador en la posición de cerrado "

Encha o depósito de combustível conforme as instruções na secção ANTES DE
COMEÇAR, neste manual. Pouse a corta-sebes no chão. Certifique-se de que nas
lâminas de corte não há pedaços de ramos, de arbustos, detritos, etc. Mantenha
afastadas da área de trabalho todas as pessoas (especialmente crianças e animais)
que estiverem por perto.
ARRANQUE DO MOTOR
(para carburador com vâlvula primâria)
Os carburadores nos motores MARUYAMA têm um sistema de obturação e são
concebidos para arranque em velocidade de marcha lenta.
1. Empurre e solte a válvula de arranque localizada no fundo do carburador até que
comece a passar combustível sem bolhas de ar através do tubo de retorno ao
depósito de combustível.
2. Desloque a patilha do obturador para a posição de fechar "

NOTE:
1. Do not pull the starter rope out completely.
2. Do not release the starter rope from the fully extended position.
3. Do not start the engine without rear handle locked.
Indication of the sound power levels:
The values in the owner's/operator's manual indicate measured sound power level.
The values in the EC declaration of conformity indicate guaranteed sound power
level.
TO STOP THE ENGINE:
1. Release the throttle trigger.
2. Slide the stop switch to the "STOP ( O )" position.
NOTA:
1. Cuando tire de la cuerda del arrancador no la saque por completo.
2. No suelte la cuerda del arrancador cuando esté totalmente extendida.
3. No arranque el motor sin haber bloqueado la empuñadura trasera.
Indicación de los niveles de potencia acústica:
Los valores del manual del propietario/ operador indican el nivel de potencia acústica
medido. Los valores de la declaración CE de conformidad indican el nivel de potencia
acústica garantizado.
PARA APAGAR EL MOTOR:
1. Suelte el gatillo del acelerador.
2. Ponga el interruptor de parada en posición de "STOP ( O )"
NOTA:
1. Não puxe completamente a corda de arranque.
2. Não solte a corda de arranque quando ela estiver totalmente esticada.
3. Não ponha o motor a funcionar sem ter travada a pega traseira.
Indicação dos níveis de potência sonora:
Os valores no manual de instruções indicam a potência sonora medida.
Os valores na declaração EC de conformidade indicam um nível de potência sonora
garantido pelo fabricante.
PARA PARAR O MOTOR:
1. Solta o gatilho regulador.
2. Ponha o comutador de paragem na posição "STOP ( O )".
