ADJUSTING THE MITER DETENT BUTTON
See Figure 19.
Lift the miter lock lever to unlock the miter table.
Attempt to rotate the miter table.
If the miter table does not rotate, the detent is engaged.
If it is not engaged, press the detent button until you hear
a click, then release the button.
Attempt to rotate the miter table. It should engage a
miter detent and lock into place.
Press the miter detent button until you hear a click.
Attempt to rotate the miter table. It should rotate freely.
Press the miter detent button until you hear a click.
Attempt to rotate the miter table. It should engage a
miter detent and lock into place.
If the detent system does not cycle, adjustments are
needed.
Using an 8 mm combination wrench and a flat head
screwdriver, hold the miter detent screw in place and
loosen the miter detent nut.
Turn the screw clockwise to lower the lever.
Turn the screw counterclockwise to raise the lever.
While making adjustments, press the detent button to
make sure the click can still be heard.
Adjust until the click can be heard in the lowest position.
Hold the screw in place and tighten miter detent nut
securely.
NOTE: After adjusting the miter detent button it may be
necessary to adjust the miter lock lever.
ADJUSTING THE BEVEL LOCK
See Figure 20.
Remove the two screws that secure the bevel lock dust
cover. Remove the cover.
Move the bevel lock lever to the unlocked (detent
disengaged) position. Set the bevel angle at 0°.
NOTE: Refer to Three-Position Bevel Lock Lever
earlier in this manual.
Using the 13 mm combination wrench, hold the nut
stationary while using the hex key to adjust the bevel
lock screw. Make adjustments of one-quarter turn or
less.
NOTE: Turning the bevel lock screw clockwise increases
the clamping force. Turning the bevel lock screw
counterclockwise decreases the clamping force.

Using the hex key, hold the bevel lock screw stationary,
while using the combination wrench to adjust the nut
holding the flat washer so that it is close but not touching
the locking plate.
After making the adjustment, check to see that the flat
washer and locking plate are not in contact with each
other.
Replace the bevel lock dust cover and tighten screws
securely.
