2. Fit the 12- and 9-wire wiring harnesses as well as the socket housing
In vehicles fitted with an airbag in the side flanks of the seat backrest it is imperative to pay
attention to the safety precautions when removing and fitting airbag components.
Release the relay / fuse carrier in the driver seat console and fold away.
Remove the battery compartment cover in front of the driver's seat.
Remove the trim of the central console and in the left footwell.
Release the relay / fuse carrier in the passenger seat console and fold away.
Remove the battery compartment cover in front of the passenger seat.
Remove the trim of the central console and in the right footwell.
Remove the second branch of the existing cover of the vehicle's 50 mm opening for the wiring
harness for the towing hitch in the seat console.
Run the 12-wire wiring harness through the second intended branch (*) of the opening provided in the
body from the outside to the interior.
*In case the second branch is occupied with another wiring harness, using a spreader pliers, this
must be widened and the wiring harness must be fed through from the outside to the interior
parallel and sealed.
Then fit the line ends in the vehicle interior with the enclosed 24-wire socket housing as follows and
click into place:

Left-hand drive vehicles:
Remove the driver seat and driver side flooring.
Lower the fuel tank a little, do not remove.
Right-hand drive vehicles:
Remove the passenger seat and passenger side flooring.
Lower the fuel tank a little, do not remove.
