BEFORE FIRST USE

1. Remove all packaging materials and any transport guards and stickers (but

not the type plate or the serial number!). Also remove the protective foil on

the display at the top of the appliance. Keep packaging materials away from
children – risk of suffocation! If necessary, dispose of the packaging material

according to the applicable statutory waste disposal regulations.
IT 2. Our tip: Keep the packaging material in case you wish to return the appliance
for repairs at a later time.

3. Inspect the appliance for damage. If there is visible damage, do not operate
the appliance; instead, contact our Customer Service department.

4. Clean the outside of the appliance with a damp cloth.
5. Clean the glass basket and grates with warm soapy water and dry thoroughly.
6. Set the housing on a level, stable and heat-resistant surface. Keep a distance
of at least 30 cm from other objects, walls, etc.
7. Before using the appliance for the first time, heat for about 10 minutes
without food. This will eliminate any residue from the production process.
Proceed as follows to do so:
8. Push the glass basket into the opening in the appliance.
9. Plug the appliance into a power socket (220–240 V~, 50/60 Hz).
10. A beep sounds, all icons on the display light up briefly and then go out again.
Afterwards, only the "ON/OFF" button is illuminated.
11. Press the "Function" button once, and then press "Start/Pause". The
"Chips" program starts, the display shows the temperature setting and
remaining time, the fan is running, and you can see the illuminated heating
element through the glass basket.
12. After the set time elapses, three beeps sound and the display shows "Off".
Press the "ON/OFF" button to switch the appliance off.
13. Note: The first time you use the appliance, it may smoke a little, which is
normal.

Note: For health reasons, we recommend frying food only until
it takes on a golden-brown colour. This keeps the formation of
potentially harmful acrylamide low.
Caution: This air fryer operates with hot air. Therefore, never put
solid or liquid fat in the fryer – danger of fire!
