Before turning out cake or bread, check it with the "skewer test": Simply insert
a wooden skewer into the cake or bread and pull it back out. If nothing sticks to
the skewer, the bread or cake is done. To heat half-baked rolls or frozen rolls, first
spray them lightly with water. This will give them a shiny crust as if fresh from
the baker. When cooking sausages, make sure they are not in contact with each
other in the glass basket. Coating the sausages with cream will give them a nice
brown colour. All of our cooking times are approximate and can be adjusted to
suit your personal taste. The same applies to the cooking temperatures.
Distribute the food evenly in the glass basket to ensure that it cooks and browns
evenly. If this is not possible due to the size of the food, switch off the appliance
after half the cooking time has elapsed and remove the glass basket, shake the
food briefly and then continue cooking. Recipes that work well in a conventional
oven are, of course, also suitable for the air fryer. Reduce the cooking temperature
by about 10 °C and check the food regularly during the first few attempts.
If the circulating air causes whirling of the food, you can fasten it with a small
skewer. Consume only food that is fully cooked.
