24. Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING
ELECTRIC SHOCK HAZARD!
Switch off the appliance and allow to cool down before all cleaning or
service work.
Never use a steam cleaner for cleaning. Moisture could get into electrical
components.
The appliance must be dry before it is put into operation again.
CAUTION
•
Do not use an abrasive sponge, powder that scratches or a
chemically aggressive cleaning agent such as cleaning spray or stain
remover. It scratches the surface and can damage the cooking
surface.
Risk of injury
When using razor blade scrapers, remember that razor blades are
•
extremely sharp and can cause wounds.
CAUTION
Risk of scalding
When cleaning, select the water temperature so that there is no risk of
scalding!
Glass ceramic hob
Clean the glass ceramic hob with a damp cloth and wipe dry with a dry cloth. If dirty, add
a little washing-up liquid to the hot water or treat with a standard ceramic hob cleaner.
You can also apply a drop of oil at regular intervals.
Immediately wipe away spilled food, food residues and grease splashes.
•
•
Moisture (from pot lids or cover plates, overflowing cooked food) shortens the
life of the valuable hot plates. Residues of liquids penetrate into the pores.
•
Keep the hobs dry, otherwise they may rust over time due to moisture.
Stop the energy supply immediately and clean the surface with hot water if
•
there are any sugar residues.
In the cases of small pieces of aluminium foil or accidentally melted plastic
•
material, stop the energy supply immediately and carefully cleanthe surface
with hot water and a razor-blade scraper.
