High-pressure hose angle based on surface
When spraying water against a surface, the jet achieves maximum impact when sprayed
head-on. However, this type of impact tends to embed dirt particles into the surface, creating
the opposite cleaning effect to the one desired. Therefore, the optimum angle for spraying
water against a surface is 45°. Spraying water at this angle improves the impact and allows for
a more efficient removal of dirt. Fig. 2
Distance from the surface to be cleaned
Another factor that determines the impact force of the water is the distance from the surface
to be cleaned. Water impact and force increases as the spray nozzle approaches the surface.
How to avoid damaging surfaces
A surface is damaged when the water impact force is greater than the hardness of the surface.
The impact force will vary according to the settings mentioned above. Never use a direct jet
on surfaces susceptible to damage. Avoid spraying windows with the direct jet, as they may
break.
The best way to avoid damaging surfaces is to follow these steps:
1. Follow the distance and angle instructions mentioned above.
2. Vary the angle of the jet, the type of jet, and the distance from the surface to be cleaned
until efficient cleaning is achieved without damaging the surface.
Nozzles
The Hydroboost 3200 TotalClean includes 4 UltraJet nozzles and a 3D TurboFlip nozzle. These
are colour-coded and produce different types of jets and different pressures to perform a
specific cleaning task. The nozzle size determines the jet size and water pressure. Fig. 3
-
Nozzle 0°, Red: sprays water and is extremely powerful. Covers small cleaning areas. It is
used to clean surfaces that can stand high pressures, like metal or cement. Do not use this
nozzle to clean wood.
-
Nozzle 15°, Yellow : emits powerful jets at 15°, for intensive cleaning in small areas. Use this
nozzle only in surfaces and materials that stand high pressures.
-
Nozzle 25°, Green emits powerful jets at 25°, for intensive cleaning in large areas. Use this
nozzle in surfaces and materials that stand a medium pressure.
-
Nozzle 40°, White: emits water jets at 40° and less powerful. Covers greater areas and can
be used to carry out general cleaning tasks.
-
Turbo nozzle: use this nozzle to clean in a turbo mode. Water is distributed in a spiral-
shaped jet. The 3D TurboFlip nozzle combines the power of a direct jet of great impact with
the efficiency of a 25º jet. This transforms the concentrated jet into a conical jet that deep
cleans larger areas.
