Safety
− Ensure that the use of the blood pres-
sure monitor doesn't lead to a perma-
nent impairment of the circulation.
− Prolonged hyperinflation of the cuff may
cause an ecchymoma (patchy bleeding)
on the arm.
− Only use the approved cuff for this blood
pressure monitor. Using other cuffs may
lead to incorrect measurements.
− If the system is not stored or used within
the temperature and humidity ranges
specified by the manufacturer, it may
provide incorrect values.
− Avoid excessive pressure when using
the cuff to prevent insufficient circu-
lation and blood arrest. Immediately
switch the blood pressure monitor off if
air is not released from the cuff direct-
ly after taking a measurement. In the
event of prolonged high pressure in the
cuff, the bloods vessels and nerves are
constricted, which may result in irrepa-
rable damage to tissue and loss of limbs.
Avoid falling asleep while taking a mea-
surement.
