1 About this operating manual
This operating manual describes the ASC 5000 air conditioning service
station (AirCon Service Centre).
The manual is for those who perform maintenance on vehicle air condition-
ing systems and have the expertise required to do so.
It contains all the instructions necessary for safe and effective operation of
the air conditioning service station. Before starting the air conditioning
service unit for the first time, read this operating manual carefully.
Also observe the following:
 The Dometic WAECO training manual "Technical Specifications –
Vehicle Air Conditioning"
 The Dometic WAECO information brochure "Legal Specifications –
Vehicle Air Conditioning"
 Information from the refrigerant manufacturer
 Information on handling flammable gases, such as from the refrigerant
manufacturer
 Any specific instructions on servicing vehicle air conditioning systems
which apply at your company
