Fitting the guide bar (Fig. 6)
• Loosen the pre-fitted screws (a).
• Fit the guide bar (12) to the product and align the
holes.
• Secure the handlebar with the previously loosened
screws (a).
Fitting the belt cover (Fig. 6)
• Fit the belt cover (4) to the gear unit and fasten it in
place with the screw (20).
10. Start up
m Attention!
Always make sure the product is fully assembled
before commissioning!
m Attention!
The engine does not come with oil in it. Therefore,
ensure that you add oil before starting it up. Use
standard multigrade oil (SAE 10W-30 / 10W-40) for
this. The oil level in the engine must be checked
each time before mowing. You will also need to fill
in petrol, as this is also not supplied upon delivery.
Starting the product (Fig. 1)
• Set the throttle (7) to the "CHOKE" position. Note:
The choke is not normally required when restarting
a warm engine.
• Carefully pull the pull-starter until you feel resist-
ance, then pull quickly and firmly. Do not allow the
start pull cord to whip back after starting has been
completed.
Attention: Do not lift the device when attempting to
start it!
• Allow the engine to warm up briefly and then move
the choke lever to the centre position.
Attention: The engine speed can be adjusted while
driving. Push the throttle (7) forwards or backwards to
adjust the engine speed. It is recommended to leave
the throttle in the centre position to reduce vibrations.
Note: Due to the design of the single-sided moving
blades, the vibrations are very high. This is normal.
Mow (Fig. 1)
• Operate the wheel clutch lever (1) to set the wheels
in motion.
• Operate the mowing unit clutch lever (5) to start the
mower.
Releasing the respective clutch lever interrupts the
movement of the wheels or the mowing unit.
Switching off the product (Fig. 1)
• Set the throttle (7) to the "STOP" position.
Adjusting the handlebar (Fig. 12)
• You can use the handlebar adjustment (3) to set the
handlebar (2) to a comfortable height for you.
Setting the cutting height (Fig. 13)
• Loosen the two nuts (g) on the skids (h).
• Push the skids (h) upwards or downwards.
• Retighten the nuts (g).
Adjusting the cutting blade (Fig. 13)
• If the upper and lower blade strips loosen slightly
after a while, remove one of the shims (f).
• Attention: Make sure that all four positions are
at the same level to prevent the blades from mal-
functioning!
11. Cleaning
• Keep protective devices, air vents and the motor
housing as free of dust and dirt as possible. Rub the
product clean with a clean cloth or blow it off with
compressed air at low pressure.
• We recommend that you clean the product directly
after every use.
• Clean the product at regular intervals using a damp
cloth and a little soft soap. Do not use any cleaning
products or solvents; they could attack the plastic
parts of the product. Make sure that no water can
penetrate the interior of the product. Water penetra-
tion increases the risk of an electric shock.
12. Transport
Before transporting, switch off the engine and wait until
the cutting tools have stopped moving.
Allow the engine to cool down before transporting or
loading to avoid burns and to prevent fire hazards.
When transporting over longer distances, drain the fuel
tank completely.
Secure the product on the transport vehicle against
rolling, slipping or tipping over and also lash down the
dumper.
