Assembly / Operating Instructions

Installation of pleated elbow tube
5
Remove screws A and B.
Push pleated elbow tube (ill. 1.16) into the
opening of the blower housing (ill. 1.20) until
resistance is felt and re-tighten screws A and B
to hold tube in place.
Note: Ensure the pleated elbow tube can be
easily swiveled after fitting it to the blower
housing.
Install multi-function handle
6
and blower tube
Push multi-function handle onto blower tube
(ill. 1.17) and fix with 2 screws in the
required, comfortable position. The
adjustment scope is approx. 50mm depending
on the arm length of the operator.
Push blower tube into pleated elbow tube
(1.16) and secure with plastic clamp (C).
Note: With the multi-function handle the
blower tube can now be twisted and swiveled
in the pleated blower elbow. Ensure that no
cables are disconnected when testing this
feature.
• Insert extension tube 2 (ill. 1.18) in blower
tube 1 (ill. 1.17)
and secure with twist lock.
• Push curved nozzle tube (ill. 1.19)
on extension tube and also secure with twist
lock.
Starting with cold engine
7+8
1. On/Off switch (7.1) must be in operating
position I
2. Move speed lever (7.3) to "min"-position
(the engine is started at idling speed).
3. Close choke shutter with
choke lever (8.1)
4. Press primer (8.2) several times until fuel is
clearly visible in the plastic fuel bulb.
5. Hold the machine with your left hand on
the carrying handle (1.15). With the right
hand, slowly pull out the starter handle
(1.8) until resistance is felt. Then pull
quickly and forcibly until the engine
attempts to start (engine fires).
6. Immediately open choke shutter
with choke lever and re-start.
7. As soon as the engine runs activate the
throttle lever (7.2) to accelerate the
engine. Select the throttle position with
the speed lever (7.3) for continuous
operation.
8. To operate the blower at idling speed,
simply release throttle lever and move
speed lever downwards to position "min".
Starting with warm engine
Do not use choke.
Just start engine.
Caution: Should the engine not
start despite several starting
attempts, the combustion
chamber in the cylinder is most likely flooded
with fuel.
In that case it is recommended to unscrew the
spark plug (1.9) and to dry the plug.
Set the ignition switch (on/off switch) to 'off'
position and move the speed lever (7.3) to full
speed position "max". Pull the starter handle
several times with removed spark plug to
clear the cylinder combustion chamber.
Re-fit the spark plug and repeat the normal
starting procedure.
