Putting the appliance into operation
Before putting the appliance into operation, make the following settings and fill the
appliance with regenerating salt, rinsing agent and dishwasher detergent.
4.1 Setting the water hardness
Before putting the appliance into operation for the first time, adjust it once to the local
water hardness. You can obtain this information from the water supplier or on the
Internet.
The water softener serves to remove minerals and salts from the water that could
•
damage the appliance or have an undesirable effect on the dishes.
The more minerals and salts your water contains, the harder the water.
•
The dishwasher is designed so that the amount of salt used can be adjusted according to
the hardness of the water used. This is to optimise and individually adjust salt
consumption.
