Change the SDS-plus Tool Holder
Removal (see figure C)
Danger of injury! Before removing the chuck,
make sure to remove the tools or bits.
Tightly grip the chuck locking ring 4 and pull
strongly in the direction of the arrow. Remove the
chuck.
Mounting (see figure D)
Using the whole hand, tightly grip the chuck. Twist it
onto the taper shaft of the chuck until it is clearly
heard to latch. The chuck automatically locks.
Check the locking function by pulling at the chuck.
Inserting the Tool
Firmly hold the rear collar 13 of the keyless chuck
and open it by turning the front collar 12 , until tool
can be inserted (see figure E ).
Hold the rear collar tight and firmly tighten the front
collar by hand, until the "clicking" of the locking
action is no longer heard. This automatically locks
the chuck (see figure F ).
The locking is released again when the front collar is
turned in the opposite direction to remove the tool.
Set the impact stop switch 9 to "Drill" .
Auxiliary Handle/Depth Stop
Use the machine only with the auxiliary han-
dle 10.
Loosen the handle by turning to the left. Rotate the
auxiliary handle 10 and adapt to the working posi-
tion (see figure G )
Firmly retighten the handle.
The drilling depth can be set with the depth stop 11
(see figure H ).
The ribbing on depth stop 11 must point upwards.
Initial Operation
Observe correct mains voltage: The voltage of the
power source must agree with the voltage specified
on the nameplate of the machine. Equipment
marked with 230 V can also be connected to 220 V.
Switching On and Off
To start the machine, press the On /Off switch 6 and
keep it depressed.
Lock the pushed On/Off switch 6 by pressing the
lock-on button 5 .
To switch off the machine, release the On /Off
switch 6 or push and release it then.
Stepless Speed Control
Light pressure on the On /Off switch 6 results in low
rotational speed, thus allowing drilling to begin in a
smooth, controlled manner. Further pressure on the
switch results in an increase in speed.
Reversing the Rotational Direction
The direction of rotation of the machine can be
selected with the rotational direction switch 7 .
For safety reasons in left rotation, the On /Off
switch 6 cannot be locked with the lock-on button 5 .
Mode Selector Switch
Operate the mode selector switch 9 only when
the machine is at a standstill.
Press the release button 8 on the mode selector
switch 9 and turn the switch to the desired position.
