Changing the Chiselling
Position
Operate the mode selector switch 9 only when the
machine is at a standstill.
The chisel can be locked in 36 positions. In this man-
ner, the optimum working position can be set for
each application.
Insert the chisel in the tool holder.
Press the release button 8 and turn
the mode selector switch 9 at the
same time to the "Chisel" position.
Turn the tool holder to the desired chiselling position.
Allow the mode selector switch 9 to latch in the
"Chiselling" position. The tool holder is locked in this
position.
Overload Clutch
If the drill bit jams or edges, the drive to the
drill spindle is interrupted.
Due to the arising forces always hold the
machine firmly with both hands and provide
for a secure stance.
Sharpening Chisels
Good results are only achieved with sharp chisels,
therefore sharpen the chiselling tools regulary. This
prolongs the service life of the tools and ensures
good working performance.
Re-sharpening the Chiselling Tools
Sharpen chiselling tools using grinding wheels (e. g.
ceramic bonded corundum wheel) with a steady
supply of water. Take care that no annealing color-
ation appears on the cutting edges, otherwise the
hardness of the chiselling tools will be impaired.

The dust extraction keeps the work area clean,
prevents high dust contamination of the breathing
air and makes the disposal easier.
Extraction Device
Mount the extraction device (accessory) and connect
the vacuum cleaner. The extraction device retracts to
the pre-set drilling depth. This ensures that the
dust-extraction attachment is always close to the sur-
face.
The machine can be connected directly to the outlet
of a Würth industrial vacuum cleaner with remote
control operation. The vacuum cleaner is started
automatically when switching on the machine.
Maintenance and Cleaning
Before any work on the machine itself, pull the
mains plug.
For safe and proper working, always keep the
machine and the ventilation slots clean.
Keep the tool holder clean at all times.
A damaged dust protection cap should be changed
immediately. We recommend having this carried
out by an after-sales service.
If the machine should happen to fail despite the care
taken in manufacture and testing, repair should be
carried out by an authorized customer service agent
for Würth power tools.
