METHOD OF APPLICATION
CONTROLLER
The controller is a key component of the wheelchair. The controller contains all the components
necessary for control (Figure 12).
The controller consists of the following parts:
1. handle
2. ba ery level indicator
3. on/off bu on
4. speed indicator light
5. accelera on bu on
6. speed reduc on bu on
7. audible signal bu on
8. charger socket
The controller is usually located on one of the armrests and is powered by the ba eries used to power
the motors.
Controller switch-on bu on (see Fig. 12)
On/Off bu on
The On/Off bu on is responsible for controlling the power supply to the controller electronics and
for controlling the power supply to the motor. Do not use the On/Off bu on to stop the wheelchair
except in emergency situa ons. Using the On/Off bu on for this purpose may adversely aff ect the
life of the product.
