Control lever
The handle is used to control the speed and direc on of the wheelchair. Speed is controlled by the
degree of defl ec on of the handle rela ve to the centre axis. When the handle is released, the control
returns to the centre posi on and the brake is automa cally applied.
NOTE: In the event that the wheelchair moves on its own, it is essen al to release the handle, causing
the device to stop.
BEEP BUTTON
Pressing the bu on triggers an audible warning signal.
ACCELERATION BUTTON
When the power is switched on, the speed light will indicate the maximum speed of the wheelchair.
The speed reached is displayed by LEDs and can be reduced by the user. Each me the speed up (or
speed down) bu on is pressed, the speed indica on displayed by the LEDs is increased (or decreased).
BRAKE LEVER
Move the brake lever backwards when star ng the wheelchair so that the wheels are locked to prevent
accidental movement. To move, move the brake lever forward so that the wheels are unlocked. (fi gure
13.)
NOTE: Be sure to use the brake only when necessary (e.g. driving on inclined surfaces), otherwise the
brake may cause you to lose control of the wheelchair and cause a health risk to the user.
SAFETY BELT
To ensure your safety, remember to wear your seatbelt every me you use the wheelchair.
