Wear safety goggles when using a punch and
power drill.
2. Place the mounting plate on the chosen surface and
mark the centers of the two holes in the plate. Center
punch the marked hole centers and drill two 9/32 inch
holes. Install mounting plate, connector harness
assembly, two lock washers, screws, and hex nuts.

Install cables observing proper polarity. Failure
to do so may result in injury or damage to vehicle.
3. Remove negative (black or "-") cable clamp from
battery terminal post. Remove hex or square nut from
clamping screw of positive (red or"+") cable clamp.
Place ring terminal of positive cable of connector
harness onto clamping screw and secure with nut.
Install negative battery cable onto negative terminal
post of battery. Remove hex or square nut from
negative cable clamping screw. Install negative
terminal of connecting harness assembly onto
clamping screw and secure with nut.

Jump Starting
CAUTION
Observe all Safety Warnings/Cautions.
Many vehicles have computers which may be
damaged by jump starting. Check the vehicle
manufacturer's
starting. The following instructions may not be
appropriate for all vehicles.
1. Turn off ignition of service vehicle.
2. Remove weather cap from plug mounted on service
vehicle.
3. Connect positive (red or"+") clamp of booster cable
assembly to positive terminal on discharged battery.
Connect negative ( black or "-") clamp of booster cable
assembly to a good chassis or engine block, ground·at
least 18 inches from the discharged battery to avoid
the possibility of a spark igniting any hydrogen gas.
Do not connect clamp to fuel lines, injectors,
carburetors,
components.
4. Connect plug of booster cable assembly to plug of
connector harness mounted on service vehicle.
5. Try to start disabled vehicle. If engine does not start
immediately, discontinue cranking to avoid draining
battery of service vehicle.
