Voice-activated dialling
You can dial numbers from the directory
by saying the name. To enable your tele-
phone to "recognise" you, you must record
a voice pattern for each name, i.e. say the
name loudly into the handset and save it.
You can also set your telephone to say the
name of the caller instead of ringing for an
external call, see page 19.
You can save one voice pattern for each of
a total of 30 directory entries. Entries that
have a voice pattern are marked with ´.
Recording a voice pattern
Record your voice pattern in quiet sur-
roundings. Hold the handset about 25 cm
away. The voice pattern may be about
1.5 seconds long.
Note:
If you usually use voice-activated dialling on a
handsfree set, it is best to record the voice pat-
tern using the handsfree set.

You will hear a short signal. A prompt
appears in the display. Speak the name.
Repeat the name when prompted to do so
in the display and after you hear another
signal tone. If your two recordings are too
different from each other, you will be
asked to repeat them.
Note:
If there is insufficient memory for a new voice
pattern this is indicated in the display. The
handset returns automatically to the directory.
Delete a voice pattern and select
again.
To change a voice pattern, you must
delete it (page 13) and record it again.
