Activating/deactivating
advisory tones
Your handset uses 'advisory tones' to tell
you about different activities and statuses.
The following advisory tones can be acti-
vated and deactivated independently of
each other:
u
Key beep: Each key press is acknowl-
edged.
u
Acknowledge tones:
– Confirmation tone (rising tone
sequence): at the end of the entry/
setting and when an SMS or a new
entry arrives in the answering
machine list (depending on base) or
the calls list
– Error tone (descending tone
sequence): when you make an
incorrect entry
– Menu end tone: when scrolling at
the end of a menu

Battery tone: the battery needs to be
charged.

warning tone is activated or deacti-
vated or only rings during a call.

You cannot deactivate the confirmation
tone when you insert the handset into the
charging cradle.

Change entries of more than one line:

Time:
Enter the wake-up time (4 digits).

Save the changes (page 10).
You will see the ¼ icon.
A wake-up call with selected ringer mel-
ody (page 18) is signalled on the handset.
The wake-up call sounds for 60 seconds.
The display shows
Alarm
During a call a wake-up call is only sig-
nalled by a brief tone.
Deactivating the wake-up call
Precondition: A wake-up call is in
progress.
Press the display key or
§Silence§
any key.
Setting an appointment
You can set your handset to remind you of
up to 5 appointments (for volume and
melody, see page 18).
Saving an appointment
Precondition: The date and time have
already been set (page 6).

Set Appoints.
The list of saved appointments is dis-
played. If you have already saved five
appointments you must first delete an
existing appointment.
