•
Disconnect the charger from the outlet before
cleaning. This will reduce the risk of electric shock, but
removing the battery will not.
•
NEVER attempt to connect 2 chargers together.
•
The charger is designed to operate on standard
household electrical power. Do not attempt to use
it on any other voltage.
•
Battery chargers contain electronic parts. Dispose
of them properly.
5.1. Charging procedure
The charger included with the product is designed to charge a 12 V 96 Wh BAT-
TERY. 12V batteries with a capacity of 8 Ah take approximately 5 hours and 30
minutes to charge.
1.
Make sure the product is turned off (if necessary, turn the potentiometer
knob counterclockwise until you feel a slight click and the LED charge
indicator goes out).
2.
Connect the charger to an appropriate outlet before inserting it into the
charging connector.
3.
Carefully lift the protective cover from the battery charge connector
socket.
4.
Connect the charger plug to the battery charging connector.
5.
The charger's charging light will remain red/orange while charging.
6.
The charging light will change to green when the battery is fully charged.
7.
Once the battery is fully charged, disconnect the charger plug from the
charging connector.
8.
Fit the protective cover over the battery charging connector.
9.
Unplug the charger from the socket.

Recharge discharged batteries as soon as possible, or battery life may be se-
verely reduced. Do not fully discharge a battery for a longer service life. We
recommend charging the batteries after each use. If the product is not used for a
long period, charge the battery every three months.
5.2. Important charging notes
• DO NOT charge the battery at an air temperature below 0°C or above 45°C.
This is essential to prevent severe damage to the battery.
• The charger and the battery may become hot during charging. This is normal
and does not mean a problem. To make cooling the battery after use easier,
avoid placing the charger or the battery in a warm environment such as in
a shed.
• Do not freeze or immerse the charger in water or any other liquid.
6. Important Safety Instructions for Batteries
WARNING!
Read this, and the manuals initially supplied with the tool
before using the charger for safe operations. When opening
the tool package for the first time, the battery will not be
fully charged. Before using the battery and charger, read
the safety instructions below. Then, follow the charging
procedures outlined.

READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS
• Do not incinerate the battery, even if it is severely damaged or completely
worn out. A battery can explode in a fire, and toxic fumes and materials are gen-
erated when burned.
• Do not charge or use the battery in explosive atmospheres, such as flam-
mable liquids, gases, or dust. Inserting or removing the battery from the char-
ger may ignite the dust or fumes.
• If battery contents come in contact with the skin, immediately wash the
area with mild soap and water. If battery liquid enters the eye, rinse water over
the open eye for 15 minutes or until irritation ceases. If medical attention is need-
ed, lead acid battery electrolytes comprise a diluted sulfuric acid mixture solution.
• The contents of opened battery cells may cause respiratory irritation. Pro-
vide fresh air. If symptoms persist, seek medical attention.
• Used batteries must be disposed of at appropriate points and approved for
receiving such material. If a recycling center is not available in your area, please
get in touch with CUSTOMER SERVICE: Dr. Luiz Miranda Street, 1650 CEP 17580-
039 - Pompeia - SP - Email: atendimento@jacto.com.br:
WARNING!
Burn hazard. Battery liquid may be flammable if exposed
to a spark or flame.
•
Charge the batteries only in JACTO chargers.
•
DO NOT splash or immerse in water or other liquids.
This may cause premature cell failure.
•
Do not store or use the tool and battery in locations
where the temperature exceeds 113°F (45o C).
•
Never attempt to open the battery for any reason. If the
battery case is cracked or damaged, do not connect it to
the charger. Do not crush, drop, or damage the battery. Do
not use a battery or charger that has been dropped, run
over, or damaged in any way (i.e., pierced with a nail, hit
with a hammer, stepped on). Damaged batteries should
be returned to the service center for recycling.
•
Fire hazard. Do not store or carry batteries so metal
objects can contact exposed battery terminals. For
example, do not place batteries in aprons, pockets, tool
boxes, product kit boxes, drawers, etc., with loose nails,
screws, keys, etc. Transporting batteries can cause
fires if the battery terminals inadvertently come
in contact with conductive materials such as keys,
coins, hand tools, etc. Specific regulations prohibit
transporting batteries on airplanes (i.e., packed in suit-
cases and carry-on luggage) UNLESS they are adequately
protected from short circuits. So, when transporting
individual batteries, ensure the battery terminals are
protected and well insulated from materials that could
contact them and cause a short circuit. NOTE: Do not
put batteries in checked baggage.
6.1. Recommendations for storing batteries
• Store batteries in a clean, dry place and away from direct sunlight and excess
heat or cold.
• Store batteries out of reach of children.
• For storage periods of more than one month, store the battery with a half
charge. This extends battery life.
7. Important Safety Instructions for Sprayers
DANGER!
•
DO NOT spray flammable or combustible
chemical products. It will result in a severe risk of
fire and explosion.
•
DO NOT spray acids or corrosive chemicals. It will
result in a severe risk of fire, explosion, and leakage.
Sprayer parts can be permanently damaged.
