TROUBLESHOOTING
PROBABLE CAUSE
Engine problems.
Unit components are frozen.
Inadequate water supply.
Kink in water inlet hose.
Water inlet screen obstructed. Remove screen, clean or replace.
Pump sucking air. (Prime
eliminated)
Eliminate leaks in intake line.
Obstructed or worn spray
nozzle.
Damaged or obstructed valve
assy. on pump.
Pump packings worn.
Unloader/bypass valve not
operating correctly.
Water in oil.
Worn seals or o-rings.
Unloader malfunction.
Pressure switch malfunction.
Safety Relief Valve is defec-
tive.
Detergent strainer is not com-
pletely submerged in deter-
gent solution.
Detergent strainer obstruct-
ed.
Detergent hose cut, obstruct-
ed orkinked.
Nozzle assembly is plugged.
Detergent adjusting knob
turned to closed position.
Ball & Spring in detergent
strainer is obstructed.
Trigger gun is malfunctioning.
REMEDY
Refer to the Engine Manual accompanying your
unit.
Allow to thaw. If any part of the unit becomes
frozen, excessive pressure may build up in the unit
which could cause the unit to burst resulting in
possible serious injury to the operator or bystand-
ers.
Ensure hose is 3/4" diameter and incoming water
supply is turned on.
Remove kink.
Tighten all water intake connections.
Insert high pressure nozzle.
Move adjustable grip on dual lance counterclock-
wise to high pressure.
Remove, clean or replace.
Remove, inspect, clean or replace.
Replace packings.
Repair or replace.
Change pump oil. Fill to proper level.
Contact Service Department.
Detect and correct unloader problem.
Detect and correct pressure switch problem.
Replace safety relief valve. NEVER run unit without
safety relief valve. Doing so can cause an explo-
sion!
Check, submerge if necessary.
Inspect, clean or replace.
Inspect, clean or replace.
Clean or replace.
Open adjusting knob. Refer to
"Cleaning w/ Detergents" pg. 19.
Remove, clean or replace.
Repair or replace.
