@ Be sure to perform the following operations before starting to edit.
1. Attach the R.A. Edit control button labels supplied as shown in the diagram on page 15.
2. Set the R.A. Edit mode select switch located inside the battery compartment to ON.

Editing Procedure
y Press R.A.E. ON/OFF (EDIT STANDBY) button @.
@ Playback VCR/camcorder enters R.A. Edit mode and
programming screen appears on the TV monitor.
@ With some camcorders/VCRs, the programming
screen may not be displayed unless the playback
VCR/camcorder is in play mode (the playback picture
is being output).
(Depending on the camcorder/VCR used, R.A. Edit screen
may be displayed by selecting from the menu screen. In such
cases, access the screen using the camcorder/VCR control
buttons.)
Using shuttle knob @, search for the "cut-in" point on
the playback VCR/camcorder. At the start of the scene
to be edited, press IN/OUT (IN) button @.
@ The counter readout at the "cut-in" point is displayed
on the TV monitor.
