Termination
A DMX terminator is recommended for installations where the DMX
cable has to run a long distance or is in an electrically noisy
environment (e.g. discos). The terminator prevents corruption of the
digital control signal by electrical noise. The DMX terminator is
simply an XLR plug with a 120 Ω resistor between pins 2 and 3,
which is then plugged into the XLR output socket of the last device in
the chain. Please see illustration.
DMX Start Address
All DMX-controlled devices need a digital start address so that the
correct device responds to the signals. This start address is the
channel number from which the device starts to "listen" to the DMX
controller. Enter the correct number and read it from the display
located on the base of the projector.
You can use the same starting address for a whole group of devices
or enter an individual one for every device.
When all devices have the same address, all the projectors will "listen" to the control signal on one
particular channel. In other words: changing the settings of one channel will affect all devices
simultaneously. If you set different addresses, each device will "listen" to a separate channel number.
Changing the settings of one channel will only affect the device in question.
In the case of the 2-channel projector, you will have to set the start address of the first projector to 1,
the second projector to 3 (1 + 2), the third to 5 (3 + 2) and so on.

8. Maintenance
Disconnect from the mains before starting maintenance operation!
• Let the projector cool down before cleaning.
• To maintain optimum performance and minimize wear, fixtures should be cleaned frequently. As a
general rule, fixtures should be cleaned at least twice a month. Dust build-up reduces the light output
performance and can cause overheating. This can lead to reduced lamp life and increased mechanical
wear. Use a vacuum or air compressor and a soft brush to remove dust collected on external vents.
• The cleaning of external optical lenses and/or mirrors must be carried out periodically to optimize light
output. Cleaning frequently depends on the environment in which the fixture operates. Damp, smoky
or particularly dirty surroundings can cause greater accumulation of dirt on the unit's optics. Clean
with a soft cloth using normal glass cleaning fluid. C lean the external optics at least every 3 weeks.
Always dry the parts carefully after cleaning them.
• There are no user-serviceable parts inside except for the fuse. Maintenance and service operations are
to be carried out by authorized personnel only.
• Only replace a burned fuse by a fuse of the same type and rating:
o Before replacing the fuse, unplug the projector from the mains.
o Wedge the fuse holder on the rear panel out of its housing with a fitting screwdriver.
o Remove the old fuse and replace with a new one.
o Replace the fuse holder in the housing.
