Troubleshooting
Pump indications
Pump does not cycle.
Pump will not prime.
Pump cycles rapidly.
Pump will not stall (cycles more than
once or twice/hour).
External leaks
Product leakage visible at weep hole in
body (13).
Product leakage visible at bottom of
body (13).
Air leakage at weep hole in body (13).
Product leakage visible at weep hole in
upper tube (24).
Product leakage visible at weep hole in
lower tube (35).
Internal leaks
Pump does not prime or
cycles continuously, or slowly
(once or twice/hour).
Possible problems
Air motor not operating properly.
Pump tube jammed and/or contains loose components.
Insufficient air pressure.
Excessive cycling speed.
Pump leaking internally.
Product source empty.
Pump requires break-in period.
Pump leaking internally.
Pump leaking externally.
Distribution system leaking.
Damaged seal (17).
Damaged rod (12).
Upper tube (24) not sufficiently tight.
Damaged gasket (19).
Damaged seal (15).
Damaged rod (12).
Lower tube (35) not sufficiently tight.
Damaged gasket (34).
Primer body (43) not sufficiently tight.
Damaged gasket(s) (34).
Foreign material between ball (29) and piston (30).
Foreign material between foot valve (38) and seat (39).
Worn or damaged component(s):
• Ball (29)

Solution
Inspect air motor and rebuild or replace as
necessary.
Rebuild pump tube.
Increase air pressure.
Reduce air pressure.
See Internal leaks.
Replenish product.
Operate pump against moderate fluid pressure
for up to one hour.
See Internal leaks.
See External leaks.
Correct leak.
Replace seal (17).
Inspect rod (12) and replace as necessary.
Tighten upper tube (24) into body (13).
Replace gasket (19).
Replace seal (15).
Inspect rod (12).
Tighten lower tube (35) into upper tube (24).
Replace gasket (34).
Tighten primer body (43) into lower tube (35).
Replace gasket(s) (34).
Locate and eliminate source of foreign material.
Disassemble pump tube, clean, inspect, and
replace worn or damaged components.
