• Disconnect air supply line from
pump motor.
• Into an appropriate container, operate
control valve to discharge remaining
pressure within system.

Overhaul
NOTE
Refer to Fig. IPB 1, page 16 and
Fig. IPB 2, page 17 for component
identification for all overhaul
procedures.
Disassembly
Separate pump tube
from air motor *
1 Clamp pump in a soft-jaw vise at
body (13).
2 Pry and swing cover (3) sideways away
from cylinder to remove.
3 Remove flange nuts (4) that secure body
to air motor (2).
4 Remove bolts (1) from top cap.
5 Remove keepers (14) from body.
6 Remove top cap from cylinder.
NOTE
Remove cylinder with care. Damage to
Quad-ring (8) and O-ring (11) can
occur.
7 With a side-to-side motion, pull cylinder
from body and air piston (7).
8 Remove O-ring (11) from body.
9 Remove bottom cap from body.

Pump tube
Air piston
10 Remove nut (5) and washer (6) that
secures air piston (7) to rod (12). Place a
punch or similar tool into rod to prevent
rotation.
11 Remove air piston from rod.
12 Remove Quad-ring (8) from air piston.
13 Remove O-ring (9) and washer (10)
from rod.
Body *
14 Remove O-ring (11) from body.
Step for model 9930 only:
14.1 Remove screws (23) lock
washers (22) that secure camlock
adapter (21) to body.
14.2 Remove camlock adapter (21)
from body.
14.3 Remove O-ring (20) from
camlock adapter.
15 Unscrew upper tube (24) from body.
16 Remove body from rod.
17 From inside body, remove gasket (19),
bearing (18), seal (17), lantern ring (16),
and seal (15).
