Use the handle (1) to loosen the bush (8); pull off the drum

Remove any oxide deposits from the terminals of the elec-
tric motor and the reversing contactor unit; grease them.
WARNING: make sure the electrical power to the
motor is switched off when working manually on the
windlass. Carefully remove the chain from the gypsy.
