Checking the battery charge
level

1. Press the button (11) next to the
charge level indicator button (12) on
the battery (10).
The LEDs of the charge level indicator
show how much charge remains in the
battery.
2. Charge the battery (10) when only the
red LED on the charge level indicator
(12) is illuminated.

Notes
• If warm, allow the battery to cool be-
fore charging.
• Do not expose the battery to direct sun-
light for long periods and do not place
it on a radiator (max. 50°C).
Charging the battery
1. Remove the battery (10) from the
device.
2. Push the battery (10) into the charging
slot of the battery charger (15).
3. Connect the battery charger (15) to a
power outlet.
4. After charging, disconnect the battery
charger (15) from the mains.
5. Pull the battery (10) out of the battery
charger (15).

Information on sawing
General Information
• Do not use any blunt or bent blades or
blades which are damaged in any oth-
er way.
• Before sawing the workpiece, check for
hidden foreign objects such as nails or
screws. These must be removed.
• Only use saw blades with the same
saw blade shank as the saw blade
provided.
• Hold the device securely by the handle.
• Place the footplate on the workpiece.
• Do not apply too much pressure in the
cutting direction. Let the device do the
work.
• Switch the appliance off immediately
if the sawing blade jams. Force apart
the saw cut and pull the saw blade out
carefully.
• Before shutting down the device, switch
it off and wait for it to come to a com-
plete standstill.
• Always stand to the side of the saw
when working.
• Avoid over-stressing the device while
working.
Plunge sawing
Requirements
• Soft materials such as wood, aerated
concrete, plasterboard etc.
Procedure
1. Place the device with the lower edge
of the footplate (1) on the workpiece.
The saw blade (17) does not touch the
workpiece.
2. Insert the saw blade (17) in the work-
piece by tipping the device forward un-
til the device is vertical.
