Safety guidelines for screwdrivers
Hold the power tool by the insulated gripping
a)
surfaces, when performing an operation where
the fastener may contact hidden wiring. Fasteners
contacting a "live" wire may make exposed metal parts of the
power tool "live" and could give the operator an electric shock.
Secure the workpiece. A workpiece securely held by a
b)
clamping device or vice is much safer than one held in your
hand.
Hold the power tool firmly. High reaction moments can
c)
occur for brief periods while lightening and loosening screws.
Switch the power off immediately if the tool blocks
d)
while in use. Be prepared for high reaction moments as these
can cause kickback.
While working on the appliance, transporting it or
e)
storing it, always set the rotation direction switch
to the central position (lock position). This prevents the
power tool from starting up unintentionally.
