Higher spin speeds will remove more moisture from the wash but can also generate more noise. In
combined washer dryer appliances, it is recommended to choose higher spin speeds to reduce the
heating required during the drying cycle.
•
Only use Pre-wash programs for heavily soiled laundry.
•
Try to remove stains by pretreatment or soaking to avoid the need for hotter wash programs.
Use of detergent
•
Only use detergent suitable for washing machines and select the appropriate type to suit your fabrics
and wash requirements.
•
Generally powders are more suitable for heavily soiled white fabrics at high temperatures whereas
liquids are more suitable for lower soiled coloured fabrics washed at low temperatures.
•
Only use the amount recommended by the detergent manufacturer to avoid excess foaming and to
reduce the environmental impact.
•
Only wash wool and silk with specifically formulated detergents on the appropriate wash program.
