4. HOLD/BACKLIGHT button
Short press this button to enter/exit the data hold mode, and long press (about
2 s) this button to turn the backlight on/off (the backlight will automatically
turn off after 60 s).
OPERATIONS
1. AC/DC Current measurement (Picture 2)
1.1 Select the corresponding current range.
1.2 Press the trigger to open the clamp jaws, and fully enclose one conductor.
1.3 Only one conductor can be measured at a time for correct measurement
reading.
Caution:
•
To avoid electric shock, do not insert the testing leads during current
measurement.
•
The current measurement must be taken with safeguard protection.
•
Press the REL button to return to zero before measuring DC current.
Meanwhile, the jaw's centre hole should be perpendicular to the current
direction to ensure accuracy.
•
The open circuit zeroing reading may be relatively large after (high) DC
current measurement. Perform AC current detection again to counteract
the remanence signal by alternating electric field.
2. AC/DC voltage and voltage frequency (% duty cycle) measurement (Picture 3)
2.1 Insert the red test lead into the
the COM jack.
2.2 Switch the dial to
measured load or power supply in parallel.
2.3 Press the SELECT button to switch between the AC and Hz measurement
function.
