Plate
The QuickFreeze plate is only to be
used with the QuickFreezefeature.
Use QuickFreezeto freeze items faster
to enhance food preservation.
How to Use
Place food (wrapped in plastic wrap)
on QuickFreezeplate. Turn the feature
on via the LCDcontrols.
Some LCD Models Only:
Access By: Home > Options > Freezer Options
> OuickFreeze
Activate By: Using the arrows to select
the time and pressing Enter.
Deactivate By: Pressing OFF.
NOTE: While the QuickFreeze feature is
enabled, the actual freezer temperature may
drop as low as -3°F (-19°C). This is normal.

When to Replacethe Filter
LCD Models:
A pop-upscreenwillappearon the LCD screen
to remindyouto replacethe waterfilter.Youcan
checkthe statusofthe water filter manually.

Reset W ater Filter
Non-LCDModels:
Thereisa replacement i ndicatorlightfor the water
filter cartridgeon the dispenser. Thislightwill turn
orangeto tell youthat you needto replacethe
filter soon.
Thefilter cartridgeshouldbe replacedwhenthe
replacement i ndicatorlightturns redor if theflow
of waterto the dispenser o r icemakerdecreases.
Removing the Filter Cartridge
If youare replacingthe cartridge,firstremove
the oldone by slowlyturningit to the left.Donot
pull downon the cartridge.A smallamountof
water may drip down.
Installing the Filter Cartridge

Thereis an adapterattachedto thetop
of the newfilter cartridge.
Theadaptermustbe removedbefore
installing the cartridge.Toremovethe
adapter, t urn it to the left about 1//4 turn.
0 Fill t he replacement c artridgewith water
from thetap to allowfor betterflow from
the dispenser immediately after installation.

Lineup the arrowon the cartridgeand
the cartridgeholdeE Placethetop of the new
cartridgeup insidethe holde_ Donot push
it up intothe holder.
O Slowlyturn it to the rightuntilthe filter
cartridgestops. D ONOTOVERTIGHTEN.
Asyou turnthe cartridge,it will automatically
raiseitselfinto position. T hecartridgewill
rotate about 1/2turn.
O Runwater from the dispenser for 5 minutes
to clear the system and prevent sputtering.
LCDModels:
Press FILTER REPLACED b uttonto confirm
replacement.
Non-LeOModels:
Press the SET FEATURES pad untilREPLACE
WATER FILTER islit. Press and holdthe
ON/OFF padfor 3 seconds. W ATER FILTER
ISRESET w ill showin thewindow.
NOTE: A newly installed water filtercartridgemag
causewater to spurt from thedispenser.
Filter Bypass Plug
Youmustusethe filter bypassplugwhena
replacement f ilter cartridgeisnot available.
Thedispenser andthe icemakerwill not operate
withoutthe filteror filter bypassplug.
