OPERATION GENERAL DESCRIPTION

This part of the manual explains the mechanics to change the device parameters and thus may get the best results in
welding.
Single control concept
The design operating with a single controller is intended to simplify changing the parameters. You do not have to
remember complex sequences to enter data, only simply press and turn.
The selector knob can perform several functions:
- Turn right / left. It is used to select the parameter you wish to change (parameter indicator fixed) to change the value
of the parameter (parameter indicator flashing) or to select the mode. Do not make sudden turns.
- Short press. To begin modifying a parameter, validate the amended or validate a working mode.
- Long press (2 seconds). To change the working mode of the equipment.
To further facilitate use, the equipment always activates the modification of the I1 parameter (welding current) for
initiating the welding or after a while without touching the command.
CONTROL PANEL
The arrangement of the elements on the front panel is divided into two sections (A and B):
A. Parameters, arranged in the top of the control panel screen. These are the elements commonly used and can be
changed quickly turning and pressing the button.
B. Operating modes. On both sides of the control, this option can only be accessed with a long press of the button
(approximately 2 seconds), so the accidental work mode change can be avoided.
DISPLAY
On the equipment's screen will constantly indicate the selected parameter or possible errors detected. We must always
look at the indication of the unit displayed; this data appears to the right of the screen (6).
ANOMALIES INDICATION
This indicator lights up if the equipment has some kind of anomaly. For more information, see anomalies and defects
section (P.15). In case the machine indicates an anomaly, you can't change the parameters.
SELECT A PARAMETER
The selection of a parameter is performed by simply turning the selector left or right, do not turn the selector abruptly,
simply turn it gently to feel the positions.
MODIFIY A PARAMETER
Once you have selected the required parameter, make a short press on the selector knob to activate the change mode
of a parameter, indicated by the flashing of the selected parameter.
In this position, we can increase or decrease the parameter value by simply turning the selector (9).
Once reached the desired value, make a short press to save the modified value (the value of the parameter stops
flashing).
SELECTING AN OPERATIONAL MODE
1 - Press mode selector button for 2 to 3 seconds.
The screen will display ---, and one of the function lights will flash while the remainder remain off.
2 - Turn the mode selector button to the left or right to choose the desired work mode.
3 - After choosing the working mode, perform a quick press on the selector to accept the changes. In the case of
Aeroarc 320 model, the chosen mode indicator will light fixed and indicators on the right will flash. Just as in the
previous case, select the option by turning right or left the selector (selection possible options are: 2T, 2T + HF, 4T and
4T + HF). Once you have chosen the work mode, make a short press to accept the change. The equipment will show
the welding parameters again.
