Before starting

WARNING! Please read the operator's
!
manual carefully and make sure you
understand the instructions before using
the machine.
Wear personal protective equipment. See
instructions under the heading "Personal
protective equipment".
Check that the fuel cap is properly
secured, and that there is no fuel
leakage.
Make sure no unauthorised persons are
in the working area, otherwise there is a
risk of serious personal injury.
Prevent unintentional starting. Ensure
the switch is in the OFF-position.
The cutting blade rotates when the
engine is started. Make sure it can rotate
freely.
• Check that the machine is assembled correctly and do
not show any signs of damage. See instructions in the
section "Assembling and adjustments".
• Perform daily maintenance. See instructions in the
section "Maintenance".
• Check that the blade is not in contact with the
conveyor cart so that it can not damage the cutting
slot.

Starting

• Prime the water pump, see 9 in presentation. The
water pump starts automatically when the machine is
started.
• Move the fuel lever to the ON position.
• Move the choke lever to the CLOSED position (cold
engine).
• Move the throttle lever away from the MIN. position,
about 1/3 of the way toward the MAX. position.

STARTING AND STOPPING

OFF
ON
• Turn the engine start switch to the ON position.
• Grip the starter handle, slowly pull out the cord with
your left hand until you feel some resistance (the
starter pawls grip), now quickly and powerfully pull the
cord. Never wrap the starter cord around your
hand
• Repeat pulling the cord until the engine starts.
CAUTION!
Do not pull the starter cord all the way out and do not let
go of the starter handle when the cord is fully extended.
This can damage the machine.

Stopping

• Turn the engine start switch to OFF position.
• Check that the motor and the blade stop. Make sure
that the cutting blade can rotate freely until it is
completely stopped.
