FOREWORD
Failure to follow all instructions on the use of this product and/or failure to wear the respirator system
during all times of exposure may adversely affect the wearer's health, may lead to severe illness or
permanent disability and may render any warranty null and void.
If you have any doubts about the suitability of the product to your job situation, it is recommended that you consult

SYSTEM DESCRIPTION
The 600 Series headtops combine welding, eye and respiratory protection and are designed to be used with an
approved air filter unit (AFU) or regulator (see Reference leaflet) to form a respiratory protection device.
The air will be fed via a breathing tube from a belt mounted AFU or regulator to the back of the headtop. The air
flows over the top of the wearer's head and down in front of the face. The welding shield and face seal prevent the
ingress of contaminated air.
APPROVALS
These products, when used as part of a 3M Approved System have been shown to meet the Basic Safety

than 19,5% oxygen (3M definition. Individual countries may apply their own limits on oxygen deficiency. Please
seek advice if in doubt).
Only use with the Air filter unit's / Regulators and spares / accessories listed in the Reference leaflet and within the
usage conditions given in the Technical Specification.
Only for use by trained competent personnel.

Only suitable for use by clean-shaven personnel, facial hair under the seal reduces protection.
Use only with recommended spectacles. Contact your supplier
High winds above 2m/s, or very high work rates (where the pressure within the headtop can become negative) can
reduce protection. Adjust equipment as appropriate or consider an alternative form of respiratory protective device.
Materials which may come into contact with the wearers skin are not known to cause allergic reactions to the
majority of individuals.
These products contain no components made from natural rubber latex.
