TECHNICIAN
- INITIAL BOILER CHECK
To start the boiler, proceed as follows:
- ensure that the declaration of conformity of installation is supplied with
the appliance;
- ensure that the type of gas used corresponds to boiler settings;
- check connection to a 230V-50Hz power mains, correct L-N polarity
and the earthing connection;
- make sure the heating system is filled with waterand that the manometer
indicates a pressure of 1 - 1.2 bar;
- make sure the air valve cap is open and that the system is well deaera-
ted;
- switch the boiler on and ensure correct ignition;
- make sure the gas maximum, medium and minimum flow rate and
pressure values correspond to those given in the handbook (see page
85);
- check activation of the safety device in the event of gas supply failure, as
well as the relative activation time;
- check operation of the main switch located ahead of the boiler;
- check draught during regular boiler operation, by means of, for example,
a vacuum meter placed directly at the fumes outlet;

- make sure there is no backflow of fumes, even during operation of
eventual electric fans;
- check activation of all regulation devices;
- seal the gas flow rate regulation devices (if settings are modified);
- check production of hot water;
- check that water circuits are sealed;
- check that there is adequate ventilation and/or aeration of the boiler
environment.
If any checks/inspections give negative results, do not start the boiler.
