· Undetected Parent Unit Out of Range:
Due to the fact that the baby unit doesn't have beacon to scan whether the
parent unit is in range or not, when the parent unit is in an out of range distance,
both of them do not recognize that it's already out of range. So a facility is
provided to the user to test the link status. With a short press on the power key
(1), the parent unit will always search for the baby unit whether it's within range
or not. If it finds the baby unit, it then lets off a long beep and the LED link
indicator (5) will keep flashing every 5 seconds. If the baby unit is out of range,
hen it lets off a "beep beep beep" sound and the LED link indicator (5) flashes
in an out of range status.
2) Low Radiation Mode
Setting:
Turn the switch (12) to "LOW" position, and the unit goes into "Low Radiation
Mode".
Operation:
The baby unit transmits a conformation signal to the parent unit with 20
seconds every 2 minutes. If the parent unit receives this signal, then the LED
link indicator (5) stays turned on to indicate that it's within range. On the
contrary, if the parent unit cannot receive this signal after 2 minutes, the LED
will flash with a beeping tone to act as a warning signal to alert the user that it is
Out Of Range.
With the switch in the "LOW" position, a continuous low power connection to the
parent unit is activated. The above-described delay for establishing the link will
not take place in this case.
5.2.6 Linking the units
If the connection between the Parent Unit and Baby Unit is broken at any time
the green "Link" light on the Parent Unit (5) will flash and the green sensor light
will cease to react to any sounds. To re−establish the "Link", please make sure
the Parent is in-range with the baby unit (move closer to the baby unit and wait
5 seconds for the Link" to be established). If it does not work, you may need to
re−establish the "Link" between the two units. Turn both units off and then:
- On the baby unit: −Press the On/Off key.
- On the parent unit: −Press and hold down the On/Off key for approx. 2 seconds.
The green "Link" light (5) comes on (this may take a few seconds).
To check the link status, at any time, press Power on/off button (4) on parent unit
and it will return to search mode after 15 seconds. It is useful to check if the baby
