- Plug the mains adaptor into a mains power socket.
The red LED (4) flashes. (LED is steady when power
is on and flashes during recharging of the batteries).
Baby unit:
The baby unit is designed to be powered by the
provided AC/DC adaptor.
Main steps:
- Plug the power cord into the power input at the
bottom of the baby unit and plug the adaptor plug
into a mains power socket.
- Press and hold down the Power Key to turn the
baby unit on if necessary. The LED (11) will be ON.
5.2. OPERATION:
Once you have set up your Baby Monitor, you will be able to hear the sounds in
your baby's room through the Parent Unit. You will also be able to see the sound
level LED, which flashes faster if the volume increases, and more slowly if the
volume decreases,
5.2.1. Volume
You can adjust the volume at which you hear your baby by using the Up/Down
Keys on the front of the Parent Unit (2 and 3 keys). This will not affect the
sensitivity of your Baby Monitor, only the volume at which you hear those
sounds through the Parent Unit.
5.2.2. Battery Charge indicator and battery low warning
The Parent Unit charge level is indicated by a red LED (4).
The parent unit will work up to 10 hours when disconnected from the charger,
but this depends on the level of charge in the batteries.
If the charge runs low, a battery low warning "beep" will sound and the Parent
Unit's LED (4) will begin to flash. If this occurs you should return the Parent Unit
to the Charger Pod to charge the batteries. You can still use your Parent Unit
from the Charger Pod.
5.2.3. Paging
It helps to find a mislaid Parent Unit. And also useful if one parent is in the
baby's room and needs to contact the other.
