Venting the installation

It is essential to eliminate any air in the boiler, pipes or fittings because this
can cause irritating noise during heating or the intake of water. To do this,
proceed as follows:
1.
Open the valves of all the radiators connected to the central heating
system.
2.
Set the ambient thermostat as high as possible.
3.
Wait for the radiators to heat up.
4.
Set the ambient thermostat as low as possible.
5.
Wait about 10 minutes until the radiators have cooled down.
6.
Vent the radiators. Start with the lower floors.
7.
Open the vent valve holding a cloth against the valve.
8.
Wait until water comes out of the vent valve and then tighten it again.
9.
After venting, check that the system is still at sufficient pressure.
Take care as the water might still be hot.
If the hydraulic pressure of the water in the central heating system is
below 0.8 bar, it is advised to increase the pressure (the recommended
hydraulic pressure is 1.0 - 1.5 bar) as described in section 8.3.

Draining the installation

The drain knob is located under the boiler, as shown in the picture to the side.
To drain the system, proceed as follows:
• Slowly turn the knob (C) anticlockwise (to the left) to open the valve. Do
this by hand without using any tools.
• After draining, close the valve.

TROUBLESHOOTING

Display notifications can be of two types: volatile or permanent. First shown
on the display, is a code consisting of a letter and 2 digits. The letter indicates
the type of fault: temporary (H) or permanent (E). The digits indicate the group the fault belongs to, based on safety level. In
alternation to the first, a second code will also flash, consisting of 2 digits, indicating the type of fault (see the fault tables that
follow).
TEMPORARY FAULT (H.x.x.)
The temporary fault is identified on the display with the letter "H" followed by a number (group). The temporary fault is a type of
fault that stops the boiler temporarily, and disappears as soon as the cause has been resolved.
PERMANENT FAULT (E.x.x)
The permanent fault is identified on the display with the letter "E" followed by a number (group). Press the RESET button for 1
second. If faults are displayed frequently, call the Authorised Service Centre.
