Listening to a connected device

You can listen to the audio signals of video players, televi-
sions, portable audio players, cassette decks and other
devices by connecting their line level or headphone out-
puts to the AUX1 and AUX2 jacks on this unit.

Press the SOURCE button repeatedly to
select "AUX1" or "AUX2".
You can also select "AUX1" or "AUX2" by pressing the
remote control's AUX1 or AUX2 button.

Start playback on the connected device.

Turn the VOLUME knob to adjust the volume.

RDS (only for Europe) (1)

The Radio Data System (RDS) is a broadcasting service that
allows stations to send additional information along with
the regular radio program signal.
RDS works on the FM frequency band in Europe only.

Tune in to an FM RDS station (see page 38).

Press the RDS button (or the RDS button of
the remote control unit).
Pressing the RDS button cycles through RDS modes as
follows:
Program service (PS)
When you select Program service, "PROGRAM SERVICE" will
blink for about 3 seconds and then the program service
name or station's name will be displayed. If there is no pro-
gram service data, the frequency will be displayed.
RDS Program type (PTY)
When you select RDS Program type, "RDS PROGRAM TYPE"
will blink for about 3 seconds and then the program type
will be displayed.
