CAUTIOn
LOW DEMAND APPLICATIONS
During periods of low demand, the compressor may not reach its normal operating temperature Sustained
operation at low demand can result in the build up of condensate in the coolant. If this situation occurs, the
lubricating characteristics of the coolant can be impaired which may lead to damage of the compressor.
THE COMPRESSOR SHOULD BE ALLOWED AMPLE LOADED RUNNING TIME OF ATLEAST 10 MINUTES PER
HOUR DURING NORMAL DAILY USE.
CAUSe
Compressor operating above rated pres-
sure.
Package pre–filter blocked.
Cooler blocked.
Missing or incorrectly fitted enclosure
panels
Low coolant level.
High ambient temperature.
Restricted cooling air flow.
Separator element leak.
Blocked separator element drain.
Compressor operating below rated pres-
sure.
Coolant system leak.
Airend defective.
Belts Slipping.
Motor defective.
Loose components.
Defective shaft seal.
Defective switch or incorrect pressure
switch setting.
Minimum pressure valve malfunction.
Blowdown valve defective.
Inlet valve malfunction.
Pressure relief valve defective.
Drive belt slipping.
Pulleys misaligned.
Worn pulleys.
Minimum pressure valve stuck closed.
Safety valve faulty
TROUBLe SHOOTInG
ReMeDY
Set pressure to correct rating for machine.
Clean / replace package pre–filter.
Clean cooler.
Ensure that all enclosure panels are correctly
fitted.
Top up coolant and check for leaks.
Re–site compressor.
Ensure correct air flow to compressor.
Fit new Separator element.
† Remove fittings and clean.
Set pressure to correct rating for machine.
† Fix leaks.
† Fix leaks.
† Change Airend.
Replace belt and tensioner.
† Replace motor.
† Retighten loose items.
† Fit Airend shaft seal kit.
Replace or set pressure to correct rating for
machine.
† Fit Minimum pressure valve service kit.
† Fit blowdown solenoid service kit.
† Fit inlet valve service kit.
Check the setting of the pressure relief valve
and the rated pressure.
Replace belt and tensioner.
Re–align pulleys.
† Replace pulleys and belt.
Strip minimum pressure valve, examine and
repair if necessary.
Check the setting of the safety valve and the
rated pressure.
