Only operate the unit when plugged into a correctly installed socket. Keep the power plug and all connection points dry!
Route the connection cable so that damage is excluded. Only use cables, equipment, adapters, extension or connec-
tion cables with an earthed contact and approved for outside use. Do not carry or pull the unit by the connection cable!
Never operate the unit if the cable or housing is defective! In case the connection cable of the pump is damaged, have
it replaced by the manufacturer or the customer service or a similarly qualified person in order to prevent hazards.
Electrical installations at garden ponds must meet the international and national regulations valid for installers. Never
open the unit housing or its attendant components, unless this is explicitly mentioned in the operating instructions.
Never carry out technical changes to the unit. Only use original spare parts and accessories. Only allow authorised
customer service outlets to perform repairs. Never run the unit without water! Never use the pump for fluids other than
water!
Attention! The installed temperature monitor automatically turns the pump off, if it is overloaded. The pump automati-
cally switches on again once the motor has cooled down. Risk of accident!
For your own safety, consult a qualified electrician if you have questions or encounter problems!

Electrical connection

Only entrust an authorised expert to carry out the electrical connection in accordance with the German EVU and VDE.
VDE 0100 Part 702 is valid for all installations. Refer to the type plate for all capacity parameters. Only perform any
work on the unit when isolated!
Installation
Only use the unit in its horizontal position and ensure stable installation on a firm ground. The unit must be positioned
below the water surface level. Attach the receiver flood protected at least 2 m away from the edge of the pond. For this
purpose, use the supplied ground stake or suspend the receiver by means of 2 screws. Do not open the receiver
housing for this purpose. Ensure that the receiver is not exposed to direct sunlight. Fasten a traction rope to the
strainer top casing through the round openings. This allows you to pull the pump out of the water, if necessary.
Start-up
Attention! Never operate the unit without water flowing through!
The unit switches on automatically when connected to power. To be able to operate the pump by means of the manual
transmitter, it is necessary to teach-in the receiver to the transmitted signal of the remote control.
Manual transmitter (C 1)
Check the function of the manual transmitter by actuating one of its buttons. The control LED must light up. Up to 80 m
reach, depending on the terrain. Replace the unit battery when the transmitting capacity fades (approx. after one year).
Teaching in the manual transmitter
Actuate the teach-in key (C 3) on the receiver for approx. 1 second. Then actuate any other transmitting key for at least
3 seconds. A maximum of 10 transmitters can be taught in according to this order.
Deleting transmitters
When the teach-in key (C 3) on the receiver is actuated for at least 5 seconds, the transmitter is reset to its delivery
status. Following this, you can reprogram it.
Functions at the manual transmitter
Pump 1 off (0), Pump 1 on (I). Pump 2 off (0), Pump 2 on (I). Invoking accumulator 0 and I. Re-assigning accumulator
0 and I. Activated pumps (+) = larger water quantity, (-) = smaller water quantity.
Battery change
Push the lid beneath the keys down and insert new batteries, type 23A. Ensure correct polarity.
Cleaning (B)
Attention! Always pull the power plug prior to starting any cleaning and/or maintenance work!
Should the capacity drop, clean the filter housing (2+8) under running water using a soft brush. Ensure that the in-
stalled flap of the water distributor (3) moves smoothly. Pull the power plug prior to starting cleaning work on the two
pumps. Undo the screws (1) of the strainer casing (2) and remove the casing. Now disengage the retaining clamps
(10) and take the pump out of the strainer casing (8). If necessary, undo and remove the union nuts of the water
distributor (3) and the nuts (6+12) of the stepped hose connections (5+11). Clean the pumps under running water
using a soft brush. Remove soiling from the impeller vanes through the openings. Never open the motor housing.
Danger to life! After cleaning, fit the unit in the reverse order.
Wear parts
The pump running units are wear parts and are excluded from the warranty.
Storage/Over-wintering
The unit is frost resistant to minus 20 °C. For temperatures below zero, the pump is heated when deactivated so that it
does not freeze. This function is indicated by a green flashing light on the receiver.
Important! To ensure this function, leave the plug of the cable in the socket and do not pull it out or disconnect it.
Should you store the unit outside of the pond, clean it thoroughly and check it for damage, then store immersed in
water or filled. Do not immerse the power plug in the water! (D)
