CONTROL SYSTEM
The compressor's reference pressure is always the maximum work pressure indicated in its identification
plate. When this pressure is reached in the air network (item ), the control pressure switch
withdraws the electric tension that feeds solenoid valve
valve
(item )
4
open.
When the admission valve closes, the tank's internal pressure relief route (item ) opens simultaneously.
At this moment, the compressor starts to run unloaded without producing air to the network, but keeping the
tank's internal pressure at around 2.7 to 3.4 bar (40 to 50 psig).
The tank internal pressure stabilizes between 2.7 to 3.4 bar (40 to 50 psig) because of the following:
A.
When the admission valve is totally closed, the tank depressurization starts;
B.
The air is still absorbed by the filter through orifices with a small passage area in the admission valve;
C.
Although the admitted air volume is small, it is greater than the volume exiting through relief system
(item ) and this stabilizes pressure between 2.7 to 3.4 bar (40 to 50 psig), enough to keep oil's
5
circulation.
When the air network near the compressor drops approximately 1.4 bar (20 psig), the pressure switch
allows tension to return to solenoid, thus communicating the tank's compressed air with the internal
part of the admission valve's cylinder, re-opening it, so that the full load work system re-starts.
CONTROL MODE
SRP 3040E -
Electronic
The Electronic Interface is factory programmed to operate in an automatic mode, that is, the compressor's
motor will be switched off whenever the compressor remains unloaded longer than the programmed time,
automatically re-starting if pressure is lower than
The compressor operates at full load and unloads as soon as the maximum working pressure is achieved
(unload).
The unload remaining time is adjusted in the factory through the Electronic Interface.
If during this adjusted time there isn't any consumption that generates pressure drop, the compressor will be
switched off, re-starting as soon as pressure is lower than
The motor can run with up to starts per hour, which is not economically feasible.
SRP 3040 - Analog Interface
The compressor runs at full load and it starts to unload as soon as the maximum work pressure is reached.
The time it remains unloaded is adjusted through "
the air network's behavior.
The motor can have up to starts per hour, but it is not economically viable.
We recommend that the timer's minimum adjusting time should be of 6 minutes.
If during this time there is no consumption that causes pressure to drop from 1.03 to 1.4 bar (15 to 20 psig), the
compressor will switch off. It will return as soon as this pressure drop occurs. If the above mentioned pressure
drop occurs, the compressor starts operating at full load. The "
customer's choice, depending on the air network behavior.

For safety reasons, your compressor is supplied with emergency button
the equipment immediately. To re-start the compressor, turn the button (see orientation arrow on it) to release it
and, right after, press the on button
