KPS-DT30 • Voltage tester
5. Testing an electricity conductor
circuit
(continuity test).
The continuity test must not be carried out on
active equipment and, where necessary, the
condensers must be discharged. The necessary
voltage for the test is supplied by the voltage
power source integrated into the test handle (A).
Testing is possible within the scale of 0 to 1 M Ω.
Connect the electrodes on the test handles (A)
and (B) to the installation to be tested.
Hold onto test electrodes (A) and (B).
By connecting the test electrodes (1) to an elec-
tricity conductor circuit, the LED (8) will light up.
Testing continuity and reverse direction on
semi-conductors.
The test depending on polarity must not be car-
ried out on active equipment.
The necessary voltage for the test is supplied by
the voltage power source integrated into the test
handle (A). Test handle (A) is the positive pole.
Testing is possible within the scale of 0 to 1 MΩ.
Connect the electrodes on the test handles (A)
and (B) to the installation to be tested.
Hold onto test electrodes (A) and (B).
By connecting the test electrodes (1) to an elec-
tricity conductor circuit, the LED (8) will light up if
the circuit is closed. In the event of reverse direc-
tion, no indication will be given.
6. Testing the earth leak circuit breaker.
The voltage tester can only be used within the
nominal voltage scale from 12 to 690 V.
