DEPTH ADJUSTMENT
The depth can be adjusted by turning the locking sleeve.
Turn it in "A" direction to decrease depth and in "B" direc-
tion to increase depth. (Fig. 2)
One full turn of the locking sleeve equals 1.5 mm (1/16")
change in depth.
CAP / DEPTH STOP
With the adjustment collar (3), the screwing depth of the
screw head in the material can be pre-selected in 8 steps
per revolution (0.2 mm each):
1. Slide the adjustment collar (3) forward to the stop. Set
screwing depth roughly by rotating the adjustment col-
lar (3):
- In "B" direction = Increased screwing depth.
- In "A" direction = Decreased screwing depth.
2. Then slide the adjustment collar (3) backward to the
stop until audible "click".
3. The necessary setting can best be determined by a
trial screw driving. The screw is held by the magnetic
universal holder.
4. For precise depth adjustment rotate by clicking the ad-
justment collar (3) without sliding it forward. One click
equals 0.2 mm.
5. To loosen screws, set the reversing switch (5) to coun-
ter-clockwise direction and pull off the cap / depth
stop (2) to the front.
LOCKING SLEEVE
Adjust the locking sleeve so that the distance between
the tip of the cap and the screw head is approximately 1
mm (3/64") as shown in the figures (Fig. 3).
Drive a trial screw into the material or into a piece of
waste material. If the depth is still not suitable for the
screw, continue adjusting until you achieve the proper
depth setting.
SWITCHING ON - SWITCHING OFF
1. Before plugging in the tool, always check to see that
the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the
"OFF" position when released. To start the tool, sim-
ply pull the switch trigger. Tool speed is increased by
increasing pressure on the switch trigger. Release the
switch trigger to stop. (Fig. 4)
2. For continuous operation, pull the switch trigger and
then push in the lock button.
3. To stop the tool from the locked position release of the
lock-on button, pull the switch trigger fully, and then
release it.
NOTE: Even with the switch on and motor running, the
bit will not rotate until you fit the point of the bit in the
screw head and apply forward pressure to engage the
clutch.
REVERSING
This tool has a reversing switch to change the direction of
rotation. Move the reversing switch lever to the <= posi-
tion (A side) for clockwise rotation or the => position (B
side) for counter clockwise rotation. (Fig. 5)

WARNING: Always check the direction of ro-
tation before operation. Use the reversing switch only
after the tool has come to a complete stop. Changing
the direction of rotation before the tool stops may dam-
age the tool.
SELECTING THE CORRECT OPERATING
SPEED
The tool can be operated at different speeds. They are
adjusted by speed controller on the switch (6). Hold
the screwdriver in normal operation position, and turn
the variable speed controller clockwise to increase the
speed and torque of the tool. Turn anti-clockwise to de-
crease the speed and torque.
HOOK
The hook is convenient for temporarily hanging the tool.

Maintenance
WARNING: Always ensure that the tool is
switched off and unplugged before attempting to per-
form inspection or maintenance.
Regularly check that all the fixing screws are tight.
They may vibrate loose over time.
Re-lubricate all moving parts at regular intervals.
BRUSH REPLACEMENT
When the carbon brushes are worn out, both brushes
must be replaced simultaneously with genuine brushes
at SPARKY service centre for warranty and post-war-
ranty service.
CLEANING
For safe operation always keep the machine and its ven-
tilation slots clean.
Regularly check to see if any dust or foreign matter has
entered the grills near the motor and around the switch-
