Starting up
Fitting the Batteries
The battery compartment is located on the underside of the
unit. Insert batteries as shown in the illustration.
Please note: If batteries are inserted incorrectly the unit
does not function and this can lead to warming and
leakage.

Only use high quality leak proof batteries of the correct spe-
cifications (see Section Technical Data) and never mix used
with new batteries or batteries of different manufacture.
Remove batteries if the unit is not to be used for any
length of time.
The unit shows the following function symbols:
battery fully loaded
battery partially loaded
replace battery soon
flashing! No further measurements possible;
replace battery.
Care for your environment
Used batteries and recharging units do not belong into
the household dustbin.
They can be deposited at special refuse centres for
used batteries. Contact your townhall for information.
Change batteries only when the unit is switched off!
The measurement values will be deleted if the batteries
are not replaced within 30 seconds. With the removal of
the batteries while the unit is switched on, the memory
store is erased immediately.
